Empowering Woodland Owners, Safeguarding Forests
The Federation of Nova Scotia Woodland Owners is a province wide, non-profit organization providing forest management, support, and advocacy for small, private woodland owners.
OUR MISSION
To unite woodland owners and work for their financial and social well-being.
To provide a unified voice for woodland owners by raising awareness of important forestry initiatives, policies, and legislation including by lobbying Provincial and Federal Governments.
To ensure that private property rights are respected and promoted; and that forest-land owners are included in decisions altering or affecting such rights.
To cooperate with and assist other organizations sharing similar forestry objectives including on lands dedicated to the recovery of forest growth, silviculture, and conservation.

80%
Forested Land
Nearly 80 per cent of Nova Scotia, or 4.2 million hectares, is covered in forest.
